Sainsbury’s offers many jobs, from store management to customer service. The first step to landing the job you want is to find the position that interests you most. You can search for these positions on their website or their careers page. Click the Apply button on the right side of the site.

2: Provide complete information and your updated resume

After finding an available position, read through the qualifications and requirements before submitting your application. Qualifications might include experience in retail, or certain degrees like a degree in business or finance, depending on what you are applying for. Requirements might include being over 18 years old, having a driving license, living within 30 miles of the store location, etc. Your c.v must be complete and up to date.

    3: The Situational Judgement Test

The situational judgment test is an interview technique often used to assess how people make decisions in difficult situations. It is also called the ‘Situational Judgement Interview’ or SJI.

The situational judgment test typically consists of six hypothetical scenarios, each followed by five possible responses to that scenario. A recruit will then be asked which answer they would choose if they faced the same situation in real life. Responses are scored from 1-5 depending on how positive or negative their effect on society is.

What Does the Test Consist of?

The test is online so that you can take it anywhere with an internet connection. It consists of 40 questions that require logic and reasoning skills to answer. You’ll be given two minutes to read the question and three minutes to answer it. You can skip questions if you want, but there is no penalty for not answering them. If you don’t know the answer to a question or have time left after answering all the other questions, just mark, I don’t know, or I haven’t time in your response field. There are five possible responses for each problem: A-B-C-D-E, one of which will be correct. Select your best choice from among these options; do not mark I don’t know.

Questions asked in The Situational Judgement Test

    > Some situational judgment test questions might include being asked whether you should recommend transferring a client from one location to another, deciding what price to charge someone for a service or product, or dealing with conflict among coworkers.

     >There are also some math problems and grammar-related tasks included in this practice test.

    > if you were asked to make a difficult decision, how would you go about it? What values would you use to guide your decision?

    >  How do you think others might react to your decision?

If you answer all the questions correctly, you will be given an overall score out of 100, which indicates your ability to handle decision-making situations.

To give yourself a better chance of scoring well on the exam, try answering as many questions as possible within the allotted time limit and avoid guessing if you don’t know the answer. You’ll have 20 minutes to complete the test once it begins.

Answers to the Situational Judgement Test

The situational judgment test is designed to understand how you would behave in certain situations. This test is important because it will give us an insight into your type of person. To prepare for this test, we recommend considering past decisions that have been difficult for you or require careful thought and planning. These experiences can help provide context for your answers.

4: What Happens If I Fail?

What Happens If I Fail?: Failing does not result in any penalties or disadvantages; however, many recruiters will only hire people who have achieved specific scores on these tests. They will use your score as part of their assessment process when considering whether they should interview you for the job.

     5: Interview

After the situational judgment test, the company will inform you for an interview through email if you have passed the test and are selected for the next stage. When satisfied with your answers, they would tell you that we want to offer an employment contract to start work as soon as possible, after which both parties agree on contractual terms and a job start date. The contract is signed online by both parties.

What type of questions are asked in an interview

The interview will be conducted with the HR manager or line manager. You are expected to answer any questions they may ask you in your phone call. The questions usually ask about your expectations of the role, what motivates you to work, etc. You can also be asked about your strengths and weaknesses or your flexibility.

    6: Final assessment

After the interview’s outcome, a final assessment test or interview might be conducted. Candidates must complete some tasks, for example, an essay about how they would deal with a customer unhappy with their shopping experience. In addition, candidates have to answer questions based on what they have learned in their training and inquiries related to their desired role within the company.

7: Offer the contract for the job.

When they are satisfied with your answers, they would tell you that we want to offer an employment contract to start work as soon as possible, after which both parties agree on contractual terms and job start date, then the agreement is signed online by both parties. If successful, this could be the start of your new career with Sainsbury’s.
